BI Habitat Website

Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), founded in 1885 by Albert Boehringer in Ingelheim, Germany, began with just 28 people employed to manufacture tartaric acid salts. Now, more than 125 years later, the company operates globally with 146 affiliates and more than 47,000 employees. BI is a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical products. The company ranks among the top 20 pharmaceutical products in the world. Boehringer Ingelheim is also a leading supplier of pharmaceutical products to Veterinarians.

BI were looking to build an online document portal for access by veterinary clinics in Australia and New Zealand. Key requirements of the portal included:

  • Provide an online document repository for files and webinars

  • Provide a secure environment with comprehensive user management

  • Reflect the approval process for individual clinics and associated users

  • Allow Boehringer Ingelheim administrators to access and amend content for the portal

  • Design and build a modern portal consistent with the branding guidelines of BI

After careful consideration BI selected OneClick as their partner of choice to design and build an online document and webinar portal ‘Habitat’. Key functionality of the website included:

  • Sophisticated registration and approval process

  • Unique clinic registration

  • Functionality for users to be associated with clinics

  • Comprehensive multi filter search process

  • Ability to find, preview and download document

  • Document categorisation and user specific access

The result is a modern, fully responsive, online repository of documents and webinars that veterinary clinics can access and download as required.

Boehringer Ingelheim - Nishan Weerasekera
“This portal is a high profile project for BI as it provides the front face of BI to all our veterinary clinics throughout New Zealand and Australia, so we had to make sure it looked good and was easy to use. OneClick did an exceptional job in designing and building an online portal with all the functionality required to make it secure and easy to use for our clinics.” Nishan Weerasekera Boehringer Ingelheim Pty Limited
